I have found from talking to my friends that as women age, it's common to feel less confident and attractive. When I ask them why they feel or have felt that way they tell me that some of it is from how their bodies and skin is changing, their own self-image, and the way society views older women.
I just want to remind you….it's important to remember that age is just a number, really it is!! Women of all ages can be confident and attractive, regardless of their physical appearance.
I wanted to share some tips on some things you can focus on to feel more confident and attractive, rather than focusing on your age:
1. Remember, you're beautiful. No matter what your age, you are beautiful. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
2. Take care of yourself. This means eating healthy, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep. When you take care of your physical health, it will also improve your mental health and make you feel more confident.
3. Don't compare yourself to others. It's easy to get caught up in comparing ourselves to others, especially when we see images of younger, more glamorous women in the media. But it's important to remember that everyone is different, and we should focus on our own unique beauty.
4. Be proud of your age. Age is a privilege, not a liability. Embrace your age and all that it comes with. You've lived a lot of life and you have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share.
5. Dress for your body type. There's no one-size-fits-all approach to dressing after 50. The most important thing is to find clothes that fit well and flatter your figure. There are plenty of stylish and age-appropriate clothes available, so you don't have to sacrifice your style to look your best.
6. Focus on your strengths. Everyone has something that they're good at. What are your strengths? What do you enjoy doing? When you focus on your strengths, it will boost your confidence and make you feel more attractive.
7. Spend time with positive people. The people we surround ourselves with can have a big impact on our self-esteem. Make sure you're spending time with positive people who make you feel good about yourself.
8. Do things that make you happy. When you're doing things that you enjoy, it shows. You'll be more likely to smile, laugh, and project an aura of confidence. So, make sure you're taking some time for yourself to do the things that make you happy.
Be proud of your age. Age is a privilege, not a liability. Embrace your age and all that it comes with. You've lived a lot of life and you have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share.
It's important to remember that feeling confident and attractive is a journey, not a destination. It takes time and effort to build up your self-esteem. But it's worth it. When you feel good about yourself, it shows. You'll be more likely to take risks, try new things, and live your life to the fullest.
So don't give up on yourself. Keep working on your confidence and remember that you are beautiful, no matter what your age.
